In the end the world needs to work together on our goals. I think we need a world goverment?

I am very fond of my corner of the earth as I am sure you are. If each country became a state in a larger confederation (as has already happened in Europe) we can keep our identity, yet cooperate. Think of the benifits - no defence expenditure beyond that necasary for crowd control, reduction of global emissions, cooperation on exploring and colonising the universe, efficient use of resources... The alternative is the type of thinking that labels one group of people as 'the enemy' rather than fellow human beings.
