Will english take over the world?

being the langauge of education,technology,poular media and in general the 'lingua franca' , native english speakers have numerous advantages. the others feel less articulate and hence appear less intelligent in multi-cultural societies. eve the culture of the west is now taking over the world in the same sense and indigenous cultures are dying...........in about 300 yrs when english and western cultre replaces every other indigenous languages and cultures, will that be overall good thing?
