Cake with pineapple frosting pairing question?

Hi, I am frosting a cake with pineapple frosting and wanted to know of any items that would pair well for it to stick on the sides. Like with white frosting I coated the sides of a 2 layered in rainbow sprinkles, I am looking for something like that, preferably not coconut, no on in my family really eats it. I was looking about and a few places suggested some types of herbs such as cilantro and or rosemary, with it being a cake I don't think it would taste, nor look to good to eat.
