Be with her or give up? what should I do?

okay ill start from the beginning, last year me and this girl went for around 7 months and loved each other a lot. we broke up and continued talking everyday and saying hi in school. About 2 weeks later my "friend" asked her out and she said yes. (she doesn't know why but she thinks he was a rebound) they went out and all the while me and her would talk and eventually stop talking all together and i still loved her very much. Later she said she still has feelings fer me and we talked again and so my feelings came back strongly and basically this kept going on and it was heartbreaking. after they broke up after 6months she said she still liked me and would go out with me again, this sounds pathetic but i basically said yea and we would talk but never actually go out. she said that we"ll go out after she goes out with some one to get someone jealous(not me just one of her enemies) they never went out and she continued texting me with Hearts and all that sht. When he said she still likes me and wants to hang out i said no because i didn't want to feel sad and love her even MORE. Then 3days later her and a different "friend" kiss and eventually go out. She texts me as a friend and of course i act like i don't care but inside it really really hurts everyday. They broke up and obviously cared but didn't show it. Her and another guy have a fling but he's smart and doesn't take it farther (thank him!) and she asks me to hang out. I do because i really wanna see her and talk to her in person after 9 months of texting. We hang out and everything's fine except at the end she tells me she still has feelings fer me. I leave for vacation the next day so nothing could come of it. We txt and she says she doesn't like me she just feels a connection. Anyways she always NEEDS to have a bf. She tells me its not a good idea to go out again and i agree but i still have strong feelings for her and i think about her everyday and no one understands and she won't listen and doesn't care. She still gets jealous over girls i just TALK to or hang out with. Should i try to get her back or just let her go? :(
